WooCommerce’s Roles & Pricing plugin settings page offers you the ability to set price rules based on role in products or categories, making this feature extremely helpful when managing pricing strategies for various roles or categories. Simply select what kind of discount you’d like applied before choosing from dropdown options:
Role-based pricing allows your store to provide tailored purchasing experiences for different customer roles at your store, making this approach especially helpful when dealing with wholesale customers who expect special discounts and exclusive product offerings that meet their bulk purchasing needs.
Enabling “Display role-based price only” will enable role-based prices on product pages. By default, users will see both regular price with strikethrough and discounted role-based price displayed alongside. This approach minimizes confusion while providing them with a more tailored shopping experience.
This extension allows you to set user role based prices and rules for product variations. This would be particularly helpful when selling B2B/B2C products where different roles require unique purchase experiences.
To set role-based pricing at the variation level, go to the Variations tab in Product Data in the admin menu and use arrows to navigate between grid rows of variations available for the product. From here you have options like using default form values or setting prices per variation which will override any rules at product or global levels.
Role & Customer Based Pricing General settings allow you to tailor product prices and add-to-cart buttons accordingly for non-logged in users or select specific user roles, while setting minimum quantities per role or category as needed. Additionally, minimum quantity limits may also be enforced depending on their settings.
Role-based pricing offers you plenty of leeway when it comes to your discount strategy. For example, wholesale customers usually expect tailored pricing and exclusive offerings to keep them as customers.
As well as setting role-based discounts for product levels, you can also define minimum and maximum order quantities per user or customer role. These rules can apply to product variations, subscription products or grouped products and can even take precedence over global rule settings.
